X Factor UK #6 - hanging on to hope when there's no hope to speak of
The Reflecting Skin - Traffickers
This is psychedelic at it's best.
Aeroc - Idiom
This time, it's the XFactorUK contestants going to the judges' lavish and opulent houses for a performance with various guest judges and the mentoring judges themselves.
Lucie Jones singing Gloria Estefan's Anything for You
She's really really fantastic. Beauty and a brilliant voice, and just that little innocence, will probably capture the hearts (and votes) of many in UK.
Daniel Pearce with George Michael's Praying for Time
Such emotion, oh my gosh.
Jamie Archer singing Stop Crying Your Heart Out by Oasis
Being the oldest contestant left at 34, is certainly no barrier for him seeing how much passion he has for singing. And singing this, it was unlike his earlier performances in that it was more heart ,soul and singing, and less showmanship.
Here are some of the results. It's really heart wrenching to see some who are really good, but there're others who are just better. But of course, there're those who you know wouldn't make it, and they did, and some, who wouldn't have made it, but actually did. Someone's life could just change in an instant, purely based on the judges' words and their belief in them. Look and see.
Ethan and Lloyd
It's pretty obvious that Ethan wouldn't make it, cos like how Cheryl put it, some people come, and they think their looks can carry them through. Lloyd was a bit see-saw-ish, and yes indeed his age could have been a factor against him. Nevertheless, he went through though he probably wouldn't win.
Daniel, Olly and TreyC
oh my, this certainly caught me by surprise. Simon mentions taking risk, and I certainly see him doing so. There's a powerhouse, but does she make it through? Another's really good, he put a million percent into it, but it's all about giving others a first chance. And lastly, the one he took a risk on. So who's in and who's out?
Lucie Jones
It's actually pretty obvious that she'd go through, she's one of the best and most consistent. But this had to go up purely because of the way she celebrated and Dannii's reaction to her celebration.
Jamie and Nicole
Does crowd favourite Jamie go through, or is it Nicole, who put everything on the line after her dad passed away? So guess who says "You believed in me", to which Simon replies "I do."
Danyl
Well, it's pretty known that he has so much to live up to, with the perfect first audition. While I supported him right from the start, he disappointed with his subsequent two performances. I honestly thought Simon would decide against him, but surprisingly, Simon's utter belief in Danyl and probably a risk, sent him through to the live finals. Bittersweet, considering Daniel Pearce didn't get through.
Despina and Stacey
Both totally deserved to go through, but only one made it. It's heartbreak and ecstacy, and the way Dannii put it, I initially thought maybe both wouldnt have gone through.
Daniel (Fox) and Rikki
Her indecision makes you wonder if Daniel actually got through and she was thinking really hard about other contestants, or did he not make it, and she was agonising over whether she should send him through/reaffirm he decision not to send him to the finals.
