a moment that is frozen as we hang in time

Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire
This song is the first single from their second album, "In Ghost Colours". Delectable electropop is their way, and this song makes good on that. Do i hear a sax in the background?

The Decemberists - Shiny
Sounds very carnival-ish, but deep down, it's a pure romantic song. Can always count on The Decemberists to come up with witty or meaningful stuff.

Orenda Fink - That Certain-Something Spring
Her songs are always so beautiful, and this delivers just as well. A very lulling voice and simple plucking of the guitar may seem like nothing, but it's this barebones way, that makes this song so alluring. Very contemplative lyrics as well.

Restless hearts, do they come with youth or age?
Now here we are, just trying to fill a page
Just trying to fill a page

Crystal Fighters - I Love London
There's this mad infectious beat, it makes the dance wanna course through your veins. This is bad ass. Just the video itself, you're already seeing one crazy half-wonked girl dancing on the streets, don't know if it could be considered dancing though, she's just madly throwing her body and moving her feet. That said, this song is pure dope.

I <3 LONDON!

skiffle and rag, shuffle and waltz

Kings of Convenience - Boat Behind
Literally boat behind.

This is single-handedly the most awesome, fantastic, lovely, fetching video. The polaroid look of the video, the pretty hitch-hikers(which so doesn't happen), makes me wanna set off on one road trip too(it's not just the ladies, really.) A totally summery song which makes you feel so damn light and airy and happy.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Everything With You
Is it really painful to be pure and innocent?

Orenda Fink - High Ground
She's better known as the other half of Azure Ray, and also her other collaboration, O+S, both of which I've featured before. She's pretty much a natural, really talented. Folk-ish sounding, she defies everything - if you actually hear what O+S sound like, it's quite hard to expect this coming from her.

Beach House - You Came To Me
