it was worth it just to learn some sleight of hand

TV on the Radio - Staring at the Sun

The Field - Yesterday and Today
Why am I not surprised that they hail from Sweden? And gee, their band name totally doesn't reflect the kind of music I was expecting. I was expecting pretty gentle music but out came groovey stuff. Interesting.

Broken Social Scene - KC Accidental

Modest Mouse - Float On
Modest Mouse classic. Sweet.

i like songs about drifters, books about the same

Modest Mouse - The World At Large

Lissy Trullie - Boy Boy
She did a cover of Hot Chip's Ready For The Floor.
I see some comments saying it's definitely better than the original. I think it's quite a good cover, you've gotta give her some credit, but no way is it better than the original. Take a damn good listen to the original, and compare. The original just takes the cake. I mean, even the video was sick.

Deastro - Light Powered
Totally out of an MS-DOS game (the start that is). Brings back those memories of Duke Nukem, Hocus Pocus, Keen, Lost Vikings, Sonic the Hedgehog and millions more.

you're just a victim of circumstance

White Rabbits - The Plot
We had Scottish outfit Frightened Rabbits before, now another rabbit's here to stay. I present, White Rabbits!

Modest Mouse - The Whale Song
The mouse is bigger than the whale.

As Tall As Lions - Circles
I'm beginning to see something.

Noah and The Whale - Shape Of My Heart
for your heart is like a flower as it grows/and it's the rain, not just the sun that helps it bloom/and you don't know how it feels to be alive/until you know how it feels to die

noah and the whale are just unique. can they be classified under a single genre? i don't know really. but can we love them? hell yeah!

so what do you see in this post? 1 chance only.

THE ANIMAL POST!
